Meet Dr. Flax
About Dr. Willa Flax
Hi, I’m Dr. Willa Flax. I’m a licensed professional counselor with over a decade of experience. I provide therapy for adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship stress, burnout, and the pressure to always get it right.
Therapy for Life Transitions, Stress and Relationships
Many of the people I work with are driven and reflective. They’re used to handling responsibilities, logistics, and emotions without much space to pause and check in with themselves. Therapy offers that space: a place to think things through, notice what you need, and move forward with more intention.
Whether you are moving through a life transition, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or struggling in your relationships, therapy can help you better understand what is happening and what you need next.
My Approach to Therapy
Together, we’ll clarify what’s working, what’s not, and where you want to go next. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and structured. I draw from person-centered and strength-based work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy, positive psychology, and relational approaches.
These therapy approaches help us recognize patterns, build insight, and support meaningful change at a pace that fits you.
Who I Work With
I specialize in working with young adults, professionals, and parents. Many of my clients are adjusting to new roles, navigating burnout, or balancing who they’ve been with who they want to become.
Therapy can help you feel clearer, more connected, and more aligned with the version of yourself you want to grow into.
